Domestic food equipment shipments to the Russian domestic market in monetary terms grew almost twofold in Q1 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. The share of Russian manufacturers in the domestic market for the same period almost returned to the level of 2022.
Association «Rosspetsmash» at the conference «Development of production of agricultural, construction, road and food machinery in Russia», reported that shipments of domestic food equipment to the domestic market increased in 2024 by 94% — up to 42.5 billion rubles. Also in the report, which was read by sfera.fm, it is indicated that the share of Russian manufacturers in the domestic market for the same period increased from 43% to 54%, almost to the level of 2022.
President of the Association «Rosspetsmash» Konstantin Babkin spoke about the state of affairs in the sectors of specialized machine building. Among the main difficulties he named taxes, expensive loans, openness of the domestic market for aggressive imports, rising prices for metal, energy and components. This all leads to a constant increase in production costs and to unequal conditions of competition with foreign players, who enjoy comprehensive support in their home countries.
