The Ministry of Agriculture does not plan to extend the ban on exports of Russian sugar, which is valid until August 31. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

“At present, there are no plans to extend the temporary ban on the export of cane or beet sugar and chemically pure sucrose after August 31,” Interfax reports citing the ministry.

In the future, the decision to impose or not to impose restrictions will be linked to the sugar beet harvest in the new season, and it will be taken in coordination with partners in the EAEU, the Ministry of Agriculture added.
